Receiving a Reiki treatment is easy. You start by contacting me by phone or email to book an appointment for distance healing (I do treatments in person too, more rarely). A short time before our agreed time, I call and ask if you want to focus on something in particular. At the same time gives some simple tips and instructions. A quarter of an hour after the treatment, I call and cancel the treatment. You may have questions, experiences to bring up, or I have "picked up" something I want to tell you - with your consent, of course.
In order for you to get the most benefit from the healing, here are some simple guidelines.
Make sure you are undisturbed and give yourself this moment to rest, heal and receive.
Feel free to lie on a sofa or a bed. If that doesn't work, sit in a comfortable chair.
If you lie down, you can have a blanket over you, something over your eyes to block out light and maybe a pillow under your knees.
Put your phone on silent mode.
Set an alarm if you want to know when the healing is finished (optional, of course).
If you want help with something in particular, please let us know if you are comfortable with it. Then I can focus and plan accordingly. But the healing will work anyway, so it's not a requirement.
You can also make yourself aware of what you want help with, and for example write it on a note that you put under you or sit on. It can be about a relationship, something emotional, something physical or something mental.
You can light incense, scented candles, put on calm music, etc. if you want to create an extra relaxed atmosphere.
If you do not experience anything, there is no danger: the healing still helps.
If the healing was intense: drink a lot of water for the next few days afterwards.
As I said, I call about 15 minutes later and capture any questions and reactions. This is because you may have experienced things that make you curious or that you want to discuss for other reasons. Then we can go through this together and land your experience so that it is integrated in the best way into your everyday life.
